Programming the Web 2
Students will have time between now and the end of the year to work on finishing up our JavaScript projects. Students who have finished their work early will have the ability to work on a further topic. Students can choose to work on a larger-scale website project, can learn a new skill on a site like codecademy.com or can choose something else. Students will have until the end of the exam period on Wednesday, June 7th to submit any work to be included in their semester grade.
Fundamentals of Programming
This week, students will have all class periods to work on their final Tic-Tac-Toe app. Many students are quickly approaching finishing up our MVP (minimal viable products) with help from "The Swift Guy" tutorials. This week, students can start adding some bells and whistles to the app to make it more user-friendly and to make it more fun to play.
Exam Schedule
Please check out the exam schedule for the week. DO NOT BE LATE FOR EXAMS AS YOU MAY NOT BE PERMITTED TO GET TO THE CLASS IF YOU ARE LATE!!!

What's Going On? May 22nd through May 26th
Monday: Service Learning Day and Celebration Day
This is just a reminder that we will have our service learning day and celebration day on Monday. On this day, nearly 1200 North students will be participating in a volunteer activity, providing over 3000 hours of community service in one day!
School will begin at 7:35 and students should report immediately to their AE classrooms. During this AE period, students will get a quick refresher on their assignment for the day and a brief outline for the day's schedule. DO NOT BE LATE!!!!! Many students will be riding a bus to get to their service learning day location and the busses are on a really tight time schedule.
Programming the Web 2
This week, students will be working on a website to highlight pictures in a slideshow. Students will have the option to create the slideshow using one of two techniques learned in class: animation or JavaScript.

App Development 1
This week, students will continue our prep work for our final app, Tic-Tac-Toe. We will start out the week with a "hackwich" called three letter word that will allow students to start actively thinking about our final app. Once this is complete, students will have work time on the app.
Final Exam Schedule
I wanted to share our final exam schedule for the last three days of school. Once we get closer to the date, we will talk about more specifics for our exam period.
