
We will start off this week by reviewing how to create actions and outlets. Specifically, we will work
on creating a button and modifying our screen. We will accomplish this by creating a basic flashlight app. Next, we will move into talking about image views. This will allow us to add pictures to our app. We will finish the week with a discussion about algorithms and talking about the design process behind building an app.
Programming the Web 1

the important parts of our first reading assignment. During class on Monday, students will complete our multiple-choice review question assessment. Students have the weekend to pre-plan answers to the questions. Once we have completed our first set of review questions, we will move into our second unit. This will involve learning about the basic structure of a web page. This week, students will be responsible for reading chapter 4 in our textbook and completing the accompanying reading guide. During class, students will work on three web page assignments that will get us familiar with the basic structure of a web page designed using HTML. We will finish the week with our second set of multiple-choice review questions.
At the end of the week, students who are interested in signing up for FREE WCTC credit in web design will be completing the application. Please have a discussion at home as to whether or not enrolling in the course for WCTC credit would be a good option.
